To inform this decision we identified and assessed the most promising sugar and sweetener markets around the world to serve as a foundation for the fermentation processes.

The project employed a comprehensive approach to evaluate global sugar markets for potential feedstock supply for fermentation investments including:
- An overview of the world’s most significant sugar markets.
- Assessment of the suitability of these markets for a fermentation investment.
- A shortlist of potential investment destinations with rationale.
CZ Solution
We provided a broad analysis of sugar markets, enabling the client to make informed decisions about potential fermentation investments. We identified 9 high-potential markets, 3 moderate–potential markets, while also highlighting markets that were not recommended for investment. The analysis included information on the local sugar sector and supply chain including availability, cost, and quality of sugar feedstocks. In addition, we evaluated the local fermentation sector capacity, expertise, and regulatory environment.
Outlook
